Rollercoaster weeks

These couple of weeks have truely been a mixed bag.
Last weekend I went to a Christmas bazaar for 1st advent. It was a good atmospher to start of with until an older man would not leave me alone. He kept following me around the room talking. I just thought he was a bit senile and was polite, but tried to end the conversation which was about some travel blog for people travelling around the world. it was loud and I had a bit of trouble hearing everything he said. I am not sure when the conversation switched but all of a sudden I realised he was talking about some magazine where models pose in bikinis. I just said I wasn't interested, and he said "but some easy extra money". I just walked away but it left me with a horrible feeling, it was so seedy!

I had my little car in for service this week and found out that the brake light - that's been switching on and off for some time - is quite important to pay attention to. It might be obvious now, but I thought there was a glitch or something...

The weekend thats been was quite nice - with lots of socialising at the local pub. Fun to watch all the different peoples favorite pick up lines and body language...

It is back into work and work and more work this week and it is not going to be nice and quite this close to Xmas...

Coffee - Latte Art

Coffee Art or Latte Art, what a beauty!

I would love to be able to make some of the wonderful latte arts there are out there.
I found this photo on flickr - tonx. He has a whole collection of latte art photos.
I have tried to make them, but it is hard. Sometimes I can get a little something, but never consistent. Lomf can make them, but most of the time he prefers to pour the creamy, frothy milk straight into the cup and let it turn into a random shape. I really love that too, it is always different and you can let your imagination decide what it looks like. It is like looking at clouds and see different shapes/pictures. Wonderful.
Like this coffee he made for me - it looks like a flower growing by the water (the flowers reflection is in the water). That is what I see when I look at it, I wonder what other people might see?:
The photos in Tonx collection make my mouth water - they look so creamy and tasty, have a look:

If you like to try to make latte art - there are many placed on the web to help.
Why not get some hints from Coffee Geek, some helpful step by step text
or WikiHow, shows you how to step by step + has a video,
or Rate My Rosetta, have a look at other people's efforts.

Christams wrapping ideas and masterpieces

I have wrapped most of my Christmas gifts now!
Feels so good to have them there under the tree - looking good!
Soon there will be more I hope, just have to buy some more gifts first.
It was so much fun to do the wrapping. Very relaxing and creative.
I feel the presentation is very important - as important as the gift itself.
Because it shows that you have put some effort in and thought of the other person.
Here they are - quite pretty, like little Xmas art works:

Wrapped in red paper, a Xmas pic glued on top (chosen specifially for the receiver), a green simple string around. A seal placed at the bottom over string - and a gift tag attached.
Here is a close up on one of them:
(this one is for mum)

Christmas Tree

Here is my Christmas tree 2008!

Sleepy morning thanks God for Coffee

This morning was a struggle. I had been up too late playing Diablo - again - and I can start to feel it. Eyes heavy, head fuzzy and body tired, tired, tired...
Well it is not like I am sick, just addicted to Diablo. So I thanked "whomever is in charge up there" for the existence of coffee and that it is so damn tasty!
This was my coffee this morning - I could do with another right about now:
